It is often said, the more things change, the more they stay the same. In twenty-five years of consulting, I have seen numerous variables during the Bloom stage that challenge growers, but regardless of the circumstances a crop still needs to be set. In 2016, I added a constant to my Bloom stage recommendations, I now include BlümCet® and HPF25® from SunBar Plant Nutrition.

BlümCet® is formulated using microbial-fermentation technology to produce a “bio-available” formulation. It can be applied alone, but adding a “plant-ready” orthophosphate material like HPF25® improves its mode of action. Applying them together, starting at First White or Pink Bud stages, awakens the plant’s reproductive systems and synchronizes them to stimulate a more uniform Pollination period. While anecdotal, the results experienced by growers have consistently been increased fruits and nuts pollinated and set each year.
